I used an adapter to go from HDMI to DVI from this adapter but this adapter wasn't happy with that configuration. Had a strange compatibility issue with this adapter with a slightly older 1920x1200 samsung monitor that only had DVI. Quite expensive, Still one of the cheapest on PB Tech but see if you can find something cheaper somewhere else especially if you are trying to adapt from HDMI. It's worth noting that other usb-c adapters to these screens worked and this adapter worked fine on newer HDMI only screens. I had two of the same monitors, one monitor had the image spilt down the middle and shifted, the other didn't even function.
